Hermès Kelly Mini Picnic 20 Box Calf & Osier Noir PHW

Brand new Hermès Mini Kelly 20 Picnic in Noir Box calf and natural osier wicker with palladium hardware. The Kelly Picnic was designed by Jean Paul Gaultier during his time at Hermès and debuted in 2011, pairing the Kelly silhouette with a woven wicker body. The Mini Kelly Picnic followed in 2019 as part of the Resort collection. Each one needs two crafts: a leather saddler for the flap, handle and straps, and a basket weaver for the osier body. Here, black Box calf frames the light natural wicker for a crisp, graphic contrast. Box calf is one of the emblematic Hermès leathers, in the collections since the 1920s: smooth and glossy, delicate at first, then developing a rich patina with use. The bag keeps the signature Kelly details, from the single top handle to the sangles and turn-lock closure, and comes with its detachable shoulder strap for wearing on the shoulder or crossbody. Hermès produces the Mini Picnic in very limited quantities.
