Brand new Hermès Kelly 25 in Gold matte alligator with gold hardware. Gold is the house's classic warm camel-tan, made continuously for decades and one of the most recognisable Hermès colours. On matte alligator it takes on extra depth, as the soft, low-sheen finish brings out the natural pattern of the scales. Gold hardware completes a fully warm, tonal look. The skin is American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis). Compared with shiny alligator, the matte finish has a lower sheen and more surface texture, and it is generally considered easier to wear every day. The Kelly was carried by Grace Kelly in 1956, and Hermès officially gave it her name in 1977. The 25 cm size is a versatile one: held by the top handle in the evening, or worn on the shoulder with the detachable strap during the day.
