Description
Brand new Hermès Kelly 25 Sellier in Noir Box calf with gold hardware. Box calf is one of the emblematic Hermès leathers and has been in the collections since the 1920s. It takes its name from the Box tanning technique that originated in England and is smooth and glossy, with a fine grain and a firm, full hand. It is delicate at first, then develops a rich patina as the shine softens with wear, which is why it is so closely tied to vintage Hermès elegance. Sellier construction, with its external stitching and sharp edges, shows off the structure of the leather, and gold hardware adds warmth to the deep black. The Kelly was carried by Grace Kelly in 1956, and Hermès officially gave it her name in 1977. The 25 cm size works by the top handle or on the shoulder with the detachable strap, and it comes with its padlock and clochette.
