Brand new Hermès Birkin 25 in Orange H Togo leather with palladium hardware. Orange H is the signature colour of Hermès, and it has a story. In the 1920s the house packed its goods in cream boxes made to look like pigskin. During the Second World War, in 1942, its supplier ran out of the cream board and could only offer orange, a shade no other client wanted. Émile-Maurice Hermès took it, and the orange box has defined the house ever since. Togo is a pebbled calfskin with a slightly raised grain. It is durable, resists scratches and keeps the Birkin's shape while staying supple. The Birkin 25, the smallest standard Birkin, keeps every detail of the original: two rolled handles, the flap top, front sangles with turn-lock closure and protective feet. Palladium hardware gives the bright orange a cool, modern contrast.
